Hyperjob has raised €435,000 to help recruiters overcome the talent shortage by developing the next generation of hiring solutions. With job post microsites, message A/B testing, specialized sourcing tools and automated outreach processes, the platform allows recruiters to attract over 6x more qualified candidates than standard inbound recruitment methods.
“The job market has changed significantly over the last decade. We see that in surveys, market analysis, news and most importantly - whenever looking for new employees. Attracting talent is simply more difficult than it used to be. Meanwhile, the recruiters’ tech stack has been slow to catch up. Our aim is to give recruiters a fighting chance in the new reality by providing them with the tools needed to find and convert qualified candidates,”
- Hyperjob CEO and co-founder Janis Kreilis.
By 2030, the growing global talent shortage is expected to represent over $8.5 trillion in business losses and companies around the globe are already reporting its effects on increasing difficulty to hire highly skilled employees. Therefore, the focus of recruitment teams is shifting from selection to attraction and forcing recruiters to look for new ways of hiring.
“Job pages look the same as they have for 100 years, but candidates’ demands have changed. There’s a huge talent shortage, and we cannot rely on inbound applications anymore. We have to change the way we think about recruitment, and think about it like marketing, rather than selection. With the system we’ve built, we’ve done just that, and the results are promising – we have 6 times more candidates agreeing to an interview,” says Kreilis.
Hyperjob has tested the job microsite technology for hiring professionals across various tough-to-fill positions in the Baltics, DACH and CEE regions, as well as in the UK and the US. On average, results showed a 300% to 600% increase in positive response rate. What’s more, 70% of prospects surveyed also said they preferred the Hyperjob job post format over traditional inbound channel job posts.
The seed round was led by SMOK.vc, with the participation of angel investors Davis Siksnans, co-founder and ex-CEO of Printful, and Einar Roosileht, CIO of Rush Street Interactive, among others.
“The team behind Hyperjob knows the ins and outs of recruiting as they had their own agency and learned it first-hand serving their customers. They can also build and test software quickly with very limited resources – a crucial feature of an early stage startup. The scrappiness of the team, a great early product and a huge market waiting for disruption made it a no brainer to invest in Hyperjob.”
- Borys Musielak, Founding Partner, SMOK Ventures
The funding round will be used to launch new product features including personalized vacancy pages for each candidate, AI-driven candidate sourcing and matching, and candidate subscriptions to company talent pools. As the highly-skilled talent markets tighten up, the founders are fully determined to reduce friction in recruitment by increasing transparency through the use of modern tech. So stay tuned for the recruitment tech revolution putting recruiters back in the driver’s seat!
